It was taken about 8 miles east on the NPR of the other photos. This spot is a warm water slough that every year holds 8-10 wood ducks from about September-March. I come to film here quite a lot but rarely ever end up able to take photos because of how skiddish the woodies are. This day I actually bumped them about 250 yards up the slough, but ended up deciding to wait them out to see if they'd come back. Sure enough, they did. They put on a show for me for about 45 minutes coming almost right to me before they left for the night.
